Semi Automatic Washing Machines:
In semi automatic washing machines, you will get a different washer and different dryer. Washer washes your clothes and dryer both rinse and dry your clothes.
In semi automatic, you have to do half of the things manually.
- You have to take care of your clothes every time in between washing, rinsing, after washing, after rinsing. When the wash cycle completes, you have to manually transfer your clothes from the washing tub to the drying tub.
-
Sometimes, after transferring your clothes to the drying tub, clothes may become disbalanced because of not putting the clothes properly. So again, you have to rearrange your clothes in the drying tub for drying.
-
You have to open and close the tab again and again at the time of washing, rinsing and drying.
Advantages Of Semi Automatic Washing Machines
-
You can get it at an affordable price.
-
You don’t need a proper water supply. You can pour water through a bucket in these kinds of machines.
-
You can use a lot of detergent. Detergent wastage is less. You can add more clothes in same detergent. There is no need to put new detergent in every wash cycle. Because rinsing and drying tub is different.
-
Slightly cheaper than front load washing machine.
Disadvantages Of Semi Automatic Washing machines
- Those who have back pain or other physical problems, semi automatic washing machines are not good for them because of lots of manual effort.
Fully Automatic Washing Machine:
In fully automatic (Both Top load fully automatic and front load fully automatic), you just have to open the tab, put the clothes, and pour detergent, and set the program. That’s it. You can schedule your washing time and select the water level and have the different wash programs options (Daily wash, bedsheet, jeans, heavy wash, cotton). Auto tub clean option is really nice option to clean your washing machine without manual effort.
You can also find some amazing features in some fully automatic washing machines (Hard water wash, inbuilt heater), you can get them if you want these features.
Two Types Of Fully Automatic Washing Machine:
- Top load fully automatic.
-
Front Load fully automatic.
Advantages Of Top Load Fully Automatic Washing Machine

You can even go outside once you set the program in a fully automatic washing machine because of the amazing delay program.

My Personal Experience With Top Load Fully Automatic Washing Machine:
-
I don’t know why people say that you can add more clothes in a top load fully automatic washing machine while washing. I tried to add clothes while washing in my top load fully automatic washing machine, but the wash cycle disturbed in my case. Yes it is the option to add more clothes, but the wash cycle may disturb. You can try yourself.
-
If you are setting the daily program and washing machine suggests you automatic water, that automatic water is not enough for rinsing your clothes. You have to set the max level.
-
You might see on some YouTube videos, that a top load fully automatic washing machines doesn’t dry your clothes well but it is not true. I have no issues with drying clothes.
Front Load Washing Machines
Advantages Of Front Load Washing Machines
-
You can load or unload clothes from the front.
-
Less water consumption.
-
More energy efficient than front load washing machines.
-
Most of the washing machines have inbuilt heater.
Disadvantages Of Front Load Washing Machines:
-
You can not add clothes in between wash cycle.
-
Expensive.
-
Servicing and maintenance is high than top load fully automatic and semi automatic.
Disadvantages Of Fully Automatic:
-
Before telling you the disadvantage of a fully automatic washing machine, I will let you know, this is the disadvantage not for everyone, the disadvantage for some people. what I feel is, you have to put detergent in every round (which is a good thing), because every wash cycle stops after completion (washing, rinsing, drying). So you can’t adjust your detergent in the next wash cycle because water drains in the rinsing. So some people find it hard to manage detergent every time and they find it costly.
-
If there is no proper water supply in your area or less water pressure in the tab, these washing machines are not for you. Because these washing machines need proper water supply.
-
High prices.
